Jeremy Lewis
Owner & Funeral Director/Embalmer
Jeremy was born and raised in Southwest Missouri. He grew up having a strong desire to be a part of the funeral industry, often playing funeral director as a child. At the age of 18, he began working at a funeral home in Northeast Oklahoma, and in the fall of 2002, he moved to Dallas, Texas to attend the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service, graduating in the fall of 2003. In October of 2018, he and his partner Ben purchased Green Funeral Home in Ferris, Texas (established in 1882), and in April of 2022, they opened a second location in Red Oak, Texas. They are proud of their vintage funeral coaches; a 1949 Chevy Barnette and 1955 Cadillac Superior. They also own Green Pet Care Center in Ferris, Texas.
When he isn't working, Jeremy likes to be home
with his dog, Jenny, and also enjoys traveling. He is an avid
Harry Potter fan and loves caring for his saltwater fish tank. He is a 15-year
singing member of the Turtle Creek Chorale and a five-year volunteer with
Mentors Care at Ferris High School in Ferris, Texas (a non-profit organization
that helps mentor at-risk students). In addition to his role with the North
Texas Funeral Directors Association, Jeremy is the current President of the
Ferris, Texas Chamber of Commerce.

Benjamin LaFleur
Owner
Benjamin LaFleur was born and raised in Eunice, a small town in southern Louisiana. He attended Louisiana State University in Business Administration/Management. He would eventually move to Texas and manage many big-box retail stores. Ben then transitioned into the veterinary field, managing a Veterinary Hospital before purchasing Green Funeral Home. Ben loves animals and his three dogs Beau, Molly, and Jenny.
Benjamin is proud to serves on the board of Red Oak Area Chamber of Commerce.
Benjamin's compassionate nature makes him an asset to the funeral business. He truly cares about all the families he has the privilege to serve and is devoted to helping ease their burdens.

Abigail Rose Shultz
Prov. Lic. Funeral Director & Embalmer
Abigail Shultz was born and raised in Tyler, Texas, and moved to the Dallas area in 2023 to pursue her calling in funeral service. She began her career in 2024, working at a mortuary service in Tyler while completing her studies. Abigail graduated from the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service on June 6, 2025, earning her Associate of Applied Science degree in Funeral Service. Shortly after, she joined Green Funeral Home as a provisional funeral director and embalmer, where she is honored to serve families with care and compassion.

Gary is a dedicated and hardworking member of our team who plays an essential role in the daily operations of the funeral home. He assists families with compassion during visitation and funeral services, provides reliable transportation support, and ensures the facility is well maintained. Gary's commitment and strong work ethic help us create a welcoming and comforting environment for the families we serve.
