Wanda Gail Bennett age 71 of Ferris, Texas passed away May 11, 2022. She was born January 30, 1951 in Jay, Oklahoma to the late Bill and Wanda Louise (Ivy) Bennett. The family later moved to Atoka, Oklahoma where she graduated high school. She later moved to Dallas, Texas and got married and had twin boys. She attended El Centro College in Dallas for their nursing program, later welcoming two more children. She worked as a nurse in home health until her retirement. She enjoyed many trips to the beach, her favorite destination; loving to go deep-sea fishing while she was there. Wanda loved animals, especially big cats. Her dedication to the Lord was very important in her life as well as her children and her grandchildren. She was a kind, giving and compassionate woman. One could always count on her no matter what. She was a selfless individual, once giving a car away to someone in greater need. She was an inspiration and will be missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her parents Bill and Wanda; son Rodney J. Gonzales and aunt Arizona Johnson.
She is survived by her children: Ronney and wife Danette Gonzales of Bedford, Danny and wife Lori Gonzales of Ferris, Jennifer and husband Robert Ritchey of Ferris and Marie and husband Scott McClain of Ferris; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother Weldon Bennett of Kerens; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family members and friends
Visitation will be 1:00 PM Saturday, May 14, 2022 at Green Funeral Home in Ferris, Texas.
Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Saturday, May 14, 2022 at Green funeral home.
Committal will follow at 3:00 PM at Trinity Cemetery Wilmer, Texas.
