Walter Barry Obituary

Walter Lee Barry, age 72, passed away on Thursday, July 15, 2021 in Ferris.  He was born in South Haven, Michigan to the late Walter and Geraldine “Best” Barry.  He worked most of his life in produce, which took him to Tucson, Arizona. Later moving to Texas where he met the love of his life, Karen. The two married in 1986 after meeting her at a single parent’s group and merged their two families into one big family.  He enjoyed roller skating with his kids when they were younger, loved going on random day trips to Galveston, watching Western movies, listening to Elvis music and spending time with his two dogs Bodhi and Isabelle.  He was hilarious, loved to talk and tell stories and share his testimony with many people.  He was from generations of Pastors and loved the Lord with all his heart. 

He is preceded in death by his wife Karen Barry, parents, brother Mark Barry and brother-in-law Doug Bradford.

He is survived by son Mark Barry of Layton, UT, daughter Kimberley Barry of Farmington, UT, son Bryan Barry of Layton, UT, son Christopher Biles, of Waxahachie, son Jonathan Leach of Waxahachie, grandson Tyler Barry of Kaysville, UT, granddaughter Amanda Biles of Denton, grandson Christopher Biles, Jr. of Waxahachie and great-granddaughter Aniliyah Barry of Kaysville, UT. 

Memorial Contributions may be made in Walter’s honor to The Wounded Warrior Project or The American Cancer Society.
