Richard Stewart Obituary

Richard Lomax Stewart, age 62 of Palmer, Texas passed away June 4, 2021. He was born in Russellville, Alabama on July 5, 1958 to the late Paul Lomax Stewart and Janelle Holt. Later the family moved to Mississippi where he graduated high school and later joined the Coast Guard, afterward moving to Louisiana, Alabama and finally on to Texas where he met and married the love of his life Lorraine. Richard loved riding his Harley Davidson trike, taking many trips to Galveston with friends and family and even a memorable trip across the historic Trail of Tears. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting had a great sense of humor, but was known to be a bit stubborn from time to time. He loved animals and especially his three canine companions: Penny, Bonnie and Skipper.
He is preceded in death by his father Paul Lomax and wife Doris L. Stewart and mother Janelle Holt.
He is survived by sister Stacey and husband Wally Wilson of Tullahoma, Tennessee; nephews: Michael and wife Lauren Stewart and Justin and Angel Gilstrap; he will also be missed by his best friend Breezie Hart, Steve Stout and Deb Davis, Judy Feagans, Gary Edwards and Stephanie Hamilton; as well as many other close friends and motorcycle buddies.

Visitation will be 5:00 - 7:00 PM Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at Green Funeral Home.

Graveside Service will be 9:15 AM Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at the DFW National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas.
