Rachael Renea Thomas

Rachel Renea Thomas, age 53 of Ferris, Texas passed away June 8, 2021. She was born March 14, 1968 in South Carolina to Gerald A. and Linda Jean (Wages) Thomas, Sr. She graduated Corsicana high school and attended Navarro college. She is lovingly remembered for having a huge heart that everyone loved. A God fearing woman, she shared many sermons and inspirational messages with her niece. Rachael was a great cook and her family enjoyed and will miss her mac & cheese, her love for hosting holidays and the cheer she always brought at Christmas time. She loved playing Santa for all the kids, bringing in bags and bags of toys. For many years she lovingly took care of her mother and grandmother. If anyone needed anything, they just had to call and she would be there. She is missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her father Gerald A. Thomas, Sr.

She is survived by her son Andreas Hughlett of Vermont; mother Linda Thomas of Ferris; brother Gerald A. “Jerry” Thomas, Jr. and Sherry Van Zandt of Gilmer; grandmother Jean Wages of Ferris; nieces: Heather and husband Buddy Mays, Courtney Thomas and Kasey Gideon; her beloved cat Mason and numerous other extended family members and friends.

Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday, June 24, 2021 at Green Funeral Home, Ferris, Texas.
