Rachael Jiminez (Perez) Garcia

Rachael Jiminez (Perez) Garcia, age 74 passed away January 25, 2023. She was born June 9, 1948 in Dallas, Texas to the late John Perez and Josephina Jiminez. She grew up and attended school in Dallas, and later her family moved to Bristol, when she began work at an early age, while helping to raise her siblings at home. She later met and married the love of her life, Manuel Flores Garcia and they later were married, began their family and together raised six children. She was a proud homemaker and loved gardening, planting and caring for her flowers around the house. She was a joyful individual and is remembered for dancing around the house to her very favorite Elvis Presley and other classical country music favorites. Her family remembers her love of bowling and of often watching Little House on the Prairie, over and over. Later in life she enjoyed trips with her family to Virginia and to Washington. Racheal was often found quietly reading her Bible or doing word searches, but she also loved trips out with her sisters, playing bingo and going shopping. She adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved the Lord and was a long time member of Patrick Baptist Church. She will surely be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in her death by her parents Johnnie Perez and Josephina Jiminez; husband Manuel Flores Garcia; sons: Johnny Joe Garcia and Alexander Garcia; brothers: Gilbert Perez, Bennie Perez and Johnny Perez. 

She is survived by her loving children: Manuel Garcia, Jr. of Ferris, Josie and husband Charles Ray Gallegos of Ferris, Lisa Helen and husband Darrel Ferguson of Ferris, and Marcus and wife Kara Garcia of Houston; 13 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; siblings: Dolores and husband Richard Moreno of Dallas, Connie Cardines of Irving, Steve Perez of Dallas, Nick and wife Debbie Perez of Garland, Paul Perez of Ferris and Richard Perez of Ferris; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family members and dear friends.

Visitation will be 10:00 AM Saturday January 28, 2023 at Green Funeral Home Red Oak, Texas. 

Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Saturday, January 28, 2023 at Green Funeral Home Red Oak, Texas. Pastor Steve Hamm officiating.

Interment to follow at Ferris Memorial Park North Ferris, Texas.
