Lynn Wynola “Nola” (Ayers) Fant, age 89 of Duncaville, Texas passed away April 14, 2021. She was born on February 26, 1932 to the late Sherman Cecil and Erma (Pickett) Ayers in Clear Creek, Arkansas and graduated high school in Lockesburg, Arkansas. She later began dating a local young man, who’s brother was in the military, but after his return, she fell in love, never regretting her choice between two brothers. She was a real go-get-her with a feisty personality. She served as librarian for the Duncanville ISD and as a member of the Board of Directors for the Whitehall School for many years. Besides this, her passion was antiques: picking, selling, dealing, appraising and over the years owned three antique shops in the Ferris area. Her family lovingly remembers her Christmas Eve’s and how she always made them so special. She is missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Loye Burl Fant, sister Bobbie Boone and granddaughter Jessica Fant-Rodriguez.
She is survived by her two sons: Loye Dewayne and wife Jeanie Fant of Pittsburg, Texas and James Scott and wife Sandie Fant of Ferris, Texas; grandchildren: Rachel Marie Fant-Blackwood of Irving, Texas, Katie Clair Fant of Dallas, Texas, Travis James Fant of Arlington, Texas; great-grandchildren: Ryan James Stephens of Ferris, Texas, Adriana Rodriguez and Adrian Rodriguez of Grand Prairie, Texas, Haven Marie Blackwood and Keller Cox Blackwood of Irving, Texas; brother Sonny Ayers of Lockesburg, Arkansas; sister Mary Everitt of Eustace, Texas as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family members and friends.
