Lola Jo (Record) Bell

Lola Jo (Record) Bell, age 70 of Waxahachie, Texas, passed away May 4, 2020. She was born in May of 1949 to the late Joseph Vernon and Lola Mae (Howell) Record. After high school, she attended an administrative vocational school and served in various rolls of receptionist, secretarial, bookkeeping and telephone switchboard operator. She married the love of her life, Robert Glynn Bell, they spent many loving years together.

Lola Jo loved to shop and appreciate the finer things of life, always finding Joy in each and every moment. She loved good food and good movies, “Sunset Boulevard”, being her favorite. She treasured her time with her friends and family with an amazing sense of humor and always having a laugh to lighten a dull moment. Jo Jo was always focused on bringing Joy to all the most important parts of life. She will be missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her husband Robert G. Bell in 2008; her parents; father in-law R.C. Bell and beloved friend Marie “Penny” Williams.

She is survived by her loving children: Kimberly and husband Stephen Poleshuk of Walhalla, South Carolina, Melanie and husband John D. Gorrell of Maypearl and son Nathan Glynn and wife Linda Bell; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; sister Patricia A. and husband Ernest Wood of Acton, California and mother in-law Carrie Juanita Bell of Dallas.

An open visitation will be 1:00 PM – 8:00 PM Friday, May 8, 2020 at Green Funeral Home.

The family will hold a private funeral service Saturday, May 9, 2020 at Green Funeral Home with burial to follow at Ferris Memorial Park North, Ferris, Texas. Pastor Michael Masek officiating.
