Leslie Jordon

Leslie Gene Jordon “Duke”, age 73, of Palmer, Texas, entered heaven on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, after a short illness. Duke was born on December 8, 1950, in India, Texas to Marion Leslie and Thelma (Nicklas) Jordan. Duke grew up in Ferris, Texas. On June 4, 1987, he met the love of his life, Margaret Lynne Kurtz, of Palmer, with whom he shared 36 years, 9 months, and 2 days of life’s greatest adventures. Duke loved being with family, hunting, driving big rigs, and talking to anyone and everyone, he never met a stranger.

Duke is survived by his wife, Margaret, his daughter, Shannon Shadburn and husband Mark, three grandchildren: Bailey Jordon Manning and wife Nalley, Cami Lynne Manning and husband Gunnar Barnes, and Tanner Shadburn; three great-grandchildren: River Lynne Barnes, Raven Leigh Barnes, and Millie Arlene Manning; one nephew Shawn Scott and wife Janie and their children as well as numerous other beloved family members and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Patricia L. Winslow, beloved pets: Polly, Chia, and Emme.
