Katherine Elizabeth (Lyde) Lindsey

Katherine Elizabeth Lindsey, age 89, surrounded by her loving family, passed away at home in Red Oak, Texas on Monday, March 13, 2023.  

Katherine was born on January 1, 1934, in the Stanfield Community to Homer and Emma Lee (Rector) Lyde. She married William Walter Lindsey on July 12, 1952. Katherine retired from Heritage Bank of Red Oak in 2004.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, numerous brothers and sisters, stepmother, Mildred Lyde, and her daughter Janice Prince.

Survivors include her brother Robert and spouse Cecilia Lyde of Richmond, Texas; sister Sue Lyde of Henrietta, Texas; her three sons, son-in-law, and spouses: Gary and Debbie Lindsey of Ferris, Texas, Bobby and Cathy Lindsey of Ferris, Texas, Scott and Ginny Lindsey of Red Oak, Texas and John and Carol Prince of Atascocita, Texas. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 PM Friday, March 17, 2023 at Green Funeral Home Red Oak, Texas. 

Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Saturday, March 18, 2023 at Green Funeral Home in Red Oak, Texas.

Interment will follow at Ferris Memorial Park North in Ferris, Texas.
