Douglas Lloyd Blaylock

 Douglas Lloyd Blaylock, age 54, of Ferris, TX passed away on Sunday, June 19th, 2022 at his home. He was born on October 2nd, 1967 in Lancaster, TX. Doug had a passion for cars and motorcycles, loved watching sports, could live off fajitas, was always up for a family get together and having a good time.

 Doug enjoyed attending car shows, watching car races, riding roller coasters, and was always seeking adrenaline rush adventures.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Wanda Lou Blaylock, his sisters Michelle Lynn Blaylock and Wanda Mae Demoss, his nephews David Edward Carter and Sean Andrew Carter.

 He is survived by his son Dakota Blaylock, his step-son Anthony Quinn and fiancé Meredith, grandchildren Legend, Luke and Elle, father Sammy Blaylock, nephew Sammy Carter, niece Stephanie Carter, a great niece and nephew, as well as many other relatives, friends, and colleagues.

When I come to the end of the road,

And the sun has set for me,

Remember, I’m free of a heavy load.

Don’t cry for a soul set free.

Miss me a little – but not too long,

And not with your head bowed low.

Remember the love that we all shared.

Miss me – but let me go.

This is a journey we all have to take,

And each must go alone.

It’s just a part of our Master’s plan,

When you’re lonely and sick at heart,

Go to the friends we know,

And bury your sorrows in doing good deeds.
