Dora Angel Obituary

Dora Alicia Angel came into this world on May 7, 1959.  She was born and raised in Robstown, TX, graduating from Robstown High School.  In 1984, she and her family moved to Dallas, TX and worked as a Dallas County Clerk for 15 years, and a legal assistant for 10 years.  While many would argue that her favorite hobby was shopping, her true happiness came from surrounding herself with her children and grandchildren.  Family was very important to Dora, and it was rare to see her without one of her family members nearby.  It was quite common for her to make the seven-hour drive to visit her father, Alain Buentello, and load up the car with as many people that could fit.  If you wanted to find Dora, you needn’t look any further than her family.

Dora is survived by her husband of 25 years, Dino Savala, six children, Gloria Cabanas and husband Henry Cabanas, Lisa Perez and husband Guillermo Alba, Joe Angel Jr and wife Melissa Angel, Stephanie Angel, Dino Savalla III, John Savala, and 20 loving grandchildren. Upon Dora’s departure, she has been reunited with her mother, Maria Buentello and her grandson, Ryan Lee Haynes in eternity.

Ecclesiastes 3:1-6
1 To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

If you knew Dora, you knew how her eyes would disappear behind her cheeks as she smiled at you.  Her smile was warm, cheerful, and just like her, would comfort you, just like one of her hugs.  Dora’s face told a life lived to the fullest.  She was fearless and bold, yet at the same time, very loving and compassionate.  When she saw you, she smiled – her smile, made you smile.  With the strands of silver mixed in her raven black hair, she had an appearance of someone that had learned many life lessons.  She would do anything to protect those she loved and harbor them from any type of pain and suffering.

Dora was up for anything.  If you mentioned taking a trip, her question was: “When do you want to go?”  She was dedicated in all aspects of her life.  She was a hard worker, a beautiful wife, a great mother, and a wonderful grandmother.  The love she had will be missed the most, but those who were lucky enough to be loved by her, will forever remember how special she truly was.
