Celia (Delgado) Moreno

Celia Delgado Moreno, age 88, of Ferris, Texas, passed away Sunday, July 19, 2020. She was born October 12, 1931 to the parentage of the late Francisco and Petra (Trevino) Delgado in San Perlita, Texas. Celia was second from the oldest of nine children. Celia and Hilario “Lalo” Moreno placed great faith and trust in the future when they married on August 30, 1947. They were amply rewarded as they celebrated their golden anniversary in 1997. Through this union 12 children were born. They were married for 55 years until the Lord called Hilario Moreno home in 2002.

She is preceded in death by her husband Lalo; children: Hilario Moreno, Jr., Jose Domingo Moreno and Albert Moreno; grandchildren: Larry Moreno and Roy Salas, Jr.; parents: Francisco and Petra Delgado; siblings: Raymundo Delgado, Martin Delgado, Francisco Delgado, Jr., Jose Delgado and Olivia Villareal.

She is survived by her dedicated children: Robert Moreno, Amelia Moya, Ofelia and husband Robert Grass, Mary and husband Rogelio Salas, Dora Foster, Victor Moreno, Michael Moreno, Elizabeth Guzman and Richard Moreno; 23 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family members and friends.

Visitation will be 5:00 - 8:00 PM Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at Green Funeral Home.

Vigil Service will be 7:00 PM Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at Green Funeral Home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at the Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 111 N. Wood Street, Ferris, Texas.
