Baltazar Mancera Nuñez, beloved husband, father, and cherished member of the community, passed away on April 1, 2024, at the age of 69. Born on August 29, 1954, in Rincon de Tamayo, Guanajuato, Mexico, Baltazar was the son of Reyes Mancera and Hermelinda Nunez. Baltazar's zest for life was evident from an early age, and he carried that joy throughout his lifetime. He completed his education in Mexico before embarking on a journey filled with love, laughter, and hard work. In 1976, Baltazar met the love of his life, Cruz Treviño, and on November 21 of that same year, they exchanged vows, marking the beginning of a beautiful union that blessed them with four children. Professionally, Baltazar dedicated himself to his work, spending many years outdoors in landscaping before retiring from the City of DeSoto, Parks and Recreation, and later from the City of Midlothian as the custodian of the Midlothian Police Department. His dedication, work ethic, and warm personality left a lasting impact on all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Outside of work, Baltazar cherished moments spent with his family, especially cooking on the grill and listening to his music, often loud enough for the whole neighborhood to hear. He loved the beach and enjoyed making road trips down to Galveston. He had a passion for beautiful flowers and plants. He enjoyed action movies, scratch-off lottery tickets, and trips to the casino. He passionately supported the Chiva's soccer club and the Dallas Cowboys. Baltazar found joy in the simple pleasures of life and his love for his family knew no bounds. His infectious laughter, warm smile, and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known him. Baltazar Mancera Nuñez leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories that will be forever treasured by his beloved family and friends. Though he may no longer be with us in body, his spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who were touched by his kindness and generosity. May he rest in eternal peace.
