Adelmira (Casarez) Martinez

Adelmira (Casarez) Martinez, age 82 of Wilmer, Texas passed away May 10, 2022. She was born  the youngest of four children on November 19, 1939 in Beeville, Texas to the late Martin Casarez and Anastacia Rocha. She attended school in Beeville and begin working at an early age to help her mother. She married her husband Alfredo in 1970 moving to Ferris, Texas then to Willmar, Texas. She was a homemaker, then began working as a machinist for Brass and Craft in Lancaster, Texas and retired after 20 years. She loved to cook tortillas and spent a lot of time sewing and crocheting blankets. She enjoyed traveling to Beeville and Wichita Falls visiting with family and friends. She was a quiet and sweet individual, always kept to herself, but a really great listener. She was also a charter member of the Corpus Christi Catholic Parish in Ferris, Texas. 

She is preceded in death by her parents and sister Felipa Perez.

She is survived by daughter Jean and husband Paulo Castillo of Wilmer; granddaughters: Crystal Castillo, Brenda Castillo and JoAn Castillo; great-grandchildren: Jose Alfredo Sanchez, Hipolito Sanchez, Valeria Gutierrez, Melissa Olivares, Jessica Olivarez, Carlos Olivares, Angel Olivares, Frank Villegas, Jr., Brianna Villegas and Sophia Villegas; sister Ersilia Yzaguirre of Beeville, Texas and brother Rosendo Casarez of Beeville, Texas.

Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 PM with Rosary at 7:00 PM Monday, May 16, 2022 at Green Funeral Home Ferris, Texas. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at Corpus Christi Catholic Parish Ferris, Texas.

Interment will be 11 AM at Ferris Memorial Park North.
