Yvonne Michelle (Martinez) Champagne

Yvonne Michelle Champagne, age 41, of Ferris, Texas, passed away surrounded by her loved ones on Friday, February 2, 2024. Born on November 22, 1982, in Baytown, Texas to Joe and Patricia Martinez, she was one of 6 children. Yvonne was a 2001 graduate of Midlothian High School. She met and married the love of her life, Jacob Champagne, in 2009. The couple started a family and eventually settled in Ferris, Texas. Yvonne is known for her beautiful spirit, gracious smile, unconditional heart and unwavering faith,  she was selfless and giving to a fault. She and her family were very active with their church , Turning Point Church where they served as youth pastors. 

Yvonne loved adventure and was known to be quite the dare devil at times. When she wasn’t doing thrill seeking things or singing karaoke with her family, she could be found tucked in her husband's arms watching crime shows and suspenseful scary movies. 

Yvonne was a romantic soul who was always happy and bubbly even when life handed her such tough situations. She was a friend to everyone and never met a stranger. Where Yvonne shined the most was as a mother. She loved her son and was very devoted to him and all he did. She never missed an event of his. 

Yvonne was a thrifter and could make something most saw as junk look amazing. Never having a girl of her own, she loved to take the young girls in her church and her nieces to do fun girly things.

She is survived by her loving husband Jacob and son Kane Champagne of Ferris; parents Joe Martinez of Texas City, Texas and Patricia Martinez of Baytown, Texas; her siblings: Michael and wife Ena Martinez of Glenn Heights, Texas, Marcus and wife Jannet Martinez of Cedar Hill, Texas, JR Martinez of Baytown, Texas, Chirs Martinez of Baytown, Texas, and Nikaylan Martinez of Baytown, Texas and several nieces and nephews, her four-legged companion Remy as well as numerous other extended family members and friends.
