William (Bill) Terry, age 82 of Red Oak, Texas passed away on April 24, 2025. He was born November 9, 1942, in Victoria, Texas to William Aubrey Terry and Lillie Gertrude Nalls. He grew up in Athens, Texas where he attended high school. Bill worked as an over-the-road truck driver and later as a commercial home painter. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, traveling to Jacksonville, Texas, listening to country music, muscle cars, and cheering for the Dallas Cowboys. He especially treasured his friendships with Jerry Lee Lewis and Mickey Gilley. Bill was known for his sweet nature, friendly spirit, and the way he never met a stranger. He accepted Christ at an early age and lived his life with kindness and heart. In 2021, he met the love of his life, Eva Fitz Lemley and they married on July 23, 2022, bringing him immense joy. He will be missed by all who know him.
He is preceded in death by his parents: William and Lillie Terry; daughter Corintha Terry; sisters: Daphene Rollins and Judy Lemley.
Wife Eva D. Terry survives him; children: son Ben and wife Tonja Terry, son Pete and wife Judy Terry and daughter Desire’ Terry; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and loving brother Bob and wife Nita Terry and many other friends and family.
A Memorial Service has been scheduled for May 8, 2025, at 11:00 am at Lonestar Cowboy Church on 1011 East Ovilla Rd, Red Oak TX 75154 Bro. Donnie Carpenter Officiating.
