Wilda Adean (Belden) Garza

Wilda Adean Garza was born on March 25, 1935, in Smith Center, Kansas to her parents Rex and Myrtle Mae (Rouse) Belden. Wilda passed away peacefully on Friday September 1st 2023, surrounded by her family. 

Wilda graduated high school in Lebanon, Kansas.  Wilda moved to Texas with her two sons and started her career where she worked being a shipping receiving manger at Computer Circuitry for 25 years.  Wilda took great pride in her work and had a very firm work ethic. She was a loving wife to her husband Juan Jose Garza who she meet at work and later married on September 25th  1981. Those that knew Wilda would say she had a large heart but could be stubborn at the same time. Her two sons were her world and coming in a close second was her dogs, Bubba and Abigail.  Although Wilda was a good cook, she loved take out, Red Lobster’s lobster being her favorite.  Her favorite activities were being with family and shopping. Wilda was an avid gardener and loved flowers, red roses being her favorite.  She always loved Christmas and took home 1st and 2nd place for her outside light displays. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brother Everett Beldon; sisters Vera Carter, Naomi Kindler, Dorothy Ingram, Twila Broker and Mary Anne Minshall; and one son Michael Clifford Van Wey.

She is survived by her loving husband Juan Jose Garza; son Rex Van Wey and his wife Martha of Ferris, Texas; sister Letha Hoard of Fort Collins, Colorado; brother Marion Beldon of Burr Oak, Kansas; grandchildren: Sabrina Turley and husband Michael , Michael Jr., Jeffery, Johnny, Jacob Van Wey and wife Taylor, Lisa Marie, Joe, Aimee Brennan and husband Robert, Andy Van Wey and wife Rebekah, Rex, Roy Van Wey and wife Hope, Raymond Van Wey and wife Rocio, Jesse Van Wey and wife Daniela, Katya along with 16 great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 23, 2023 at 11:00am at the Green Funeral Home Chapel in Ferris, Texas.
