Wayne Winkles

Doyle Wayne Winkles, age 60, of Granbury, Texas passed away Thursday, February 3, 2021. He was born in Dallas, Texas on March 7, 1960 to the late Jimmy Lee and Robbie Merle (Schaffer) Winkles. A lifelong resident of the North Texas area, he worked as a pipefitter and welder for Bruce Whaling and Kool Touch Enterprises. Wayne loved to tinker with cars and lawnmowers, especially his beloved 1969 gray Camaro; his family remembers his days of racing it up and down the road and family trips to Mississippi, Georgia and Alabama. Wayne loved to fish and enjoy time outdoors, fishing for anything but perch. Even in the hardest of times, his humor could always make others laugh. He will be missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife Renae Merimon; son Jimmy Winkles, beloved grandson Robert Wayne Winkles and brothers: Terry Winkles, Jimmy Winkles, Mike Winkles and Junior Schaffer.

He is survived by his loving spouse Debbie Head; sons: Robert Winkles, Brandon Montgomery and Chris Head; brother Darrell Winkles and sister Chyerl Jeter; grandchildren: Heather, Jamie and Morgan and four great-grandchildren.   

Visitation will be 10:00 AM Saturday, February 6, 2021 at Green Funeral Home. MASK REQUIRED

Funeral Service will be 11:00 AM Saturday, February 6, 2021 at Green Funeral Home. MASK REQUIRED

Interment to follow at Ferris Memorial Park, Ferris, Texas.
