Troy Lynn Timms

Troy Lynn Timms  went to be with the Lord on February 17,2023. He was 61 years old. Born on December 31,1961 to Clay and Bonnie Dean Timms (ne. Cable), he was the light of his parents' life. Being born and raised in Dallas, Tx he made his way to graduate from skyline high school in 1979. He was an only child, but that didn’t mean he was shy. Growing up with cousins that were as close as siblings and Troy made friends anywhere he went. 

 He wanted to be a police officer and he made that dream come true. Starting as a reserve in 1984, His career flourished into becoming the chief of police by Wilmer 1997. He left the department in 1999,  But began searching for a new passion. He found this in leatherworks. He made belts, fixed shoes, and created saddles. 

In his personal life he met and married Judy Kay Timms(ne. Lusk) with her he created a family. He had a new son, Phillip Kirkpatrick, and soon after came Steven and Kelli Timms. The children were the best thing in his life. He loved being a father and kept them as close as he could throughout his life. He met Judith Freedman in 2010 and spent his remaining and retired years at  home in Kerens. He kept up his friendships throughout his life, keeping his phone close at hand to tell anyone who would listen stories about his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, ex-wife and friend, Judy Kay. 
He is survived by his companion of 13 years Judith of Kerens; his sons: Phillip Kirkpatrick and Steven Timms of Fate, Tx; his daughter Kelli Timms and wife Felicia of Boyd, Tx; three grandchildren and more friends than one can count.

Memorial Service will be 11:00 AM, Sunday, March 5, 2023 at Green Funeral Home Ferris, Texas.
