Tomasa Galarza Perez

Tomasa Galarza, who all loved her as Tomy, was born on November 25, 1961 in Rodeo Durango to Francisco Galarza and Aurora Perez.  She married the love of her life Adrian Mendez and they had 4 amazing children;  Adriana, Frank, Cristian, and Amy. Tomy was loved by many, one of the sweetest most humble women you could have ever met. She always gave the best advice to everyone and people always gravitated towards her energy, she was someone you wanted to be around constantly. She was considered an outstanding mother and someone to trust. Tomy lived the best way she could with her grandchildren and children giving her life and the daily reminder of what love and family really was. She took pride in her cooking, oh and it was not any normal cooking! She cooked with love, every bite you took the more and more your love for her grew. Her most famous dish was her red chicken enchiladas. Her children, grandchildren, and children in laws fought over 1st, 2nd, 3rd plates. To many she had the perfect motherhood story. 

On July 4th 2022 her family lost their biggest firecracker of all, but heaven gained its brightest angel of all. Tomy passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and children in law after battling cancer. Although this battle was very tough, it never stopped her from giving the best hugs, smile, and love before taking her last breath. She fought with all she could until God knew she was getting tired and a cure was not possible, soon after, her golden heart stopped beating. Her children and grandkids were everything to her, she loved them so much and was very proud to brag that they loved her back even more. 

She is survived by her husband Adrian Mendez, children Adriana, Frank, Cristian, Amy. GrandChildren Nathan, Jaiden, Zaylon, Za’Niyah, Zoey, mother Aurora Perez, sisters, brothers and many more!
