Tomas Trevino Obituary

Tomas (often known as Thomas) Trevino, age 69, of Desoto, Texas passed away on November 3, 2023. He was born on January 4, 1954, to Guadelupe Trevino and Juana Torres in Lubbock, Texas. He graduated high school in Dumas, Texas and went on to the Marines shortly after graduating. He carried that hard work and dedication with him that he got from his service with him throughout his entire life. After leaving the Marines we went on to Amarillo College Technical School and received an Associates before moving the DFW area in the 90’s for work. In the early 80’s Tomas met the love of his life, Frances, and the two were married 39 years and together has two sons. Tomas was a strict father but also known to be a clown. He was a hard worker who worked a ton to provide for his family. He also loved the nicer things in life and wanted to make sure he could get and provide those things. Tomas loved all things sports. He would help his sons and later grandson everyday after school practicing baseball in the yard. He was also a coach for their sports teams when the sons were younger. Tomas also enjoyed playing pool. Having a table in the house, he would call his son after work to come play a game or five before he headed home. The ultimate love of his life was his wife. She was his world, and he would do anything for her, including pushing her buttons to tease her. Tomas loved to cook himself breakfast, often sharing pictures of his plate he made with the kids in the morning. He was known to make the best beans, all of the grandkids loved them and he was always excited to have them over when he made some. If you knew Tomas you know he loved his truck. If he wasn’t keeping his yard just perfect and picking weeds he was washing and polishing his truck. Tomas was a great man and friend to us all. He would always be there for you when you called no matter what you needed. He always showed up for you. He will be missed and forever loved by all that knew him.

Tomas is preceded in death by his beloved wife Frances Marie Trevino. By his parents, Guadalupe and Janie Trevino; by siblings: brother John Trevino and sister Mary Garcia.

Tomas is survived by his sons: Thomas Jr., and Justin Trevino and wife Amber; two brothers: Val Trevino and wife Cira, Jr Trevino and wife Linda; sister Ufemia Espinoza and husband Satch, twin sister Tomasa Rodriguez and husband Dale.  Also, to cherish his memory are his grandchildren: Tiana, Brandon, Tommy, Caleb, Justin Jr. And Jaxson.
