Theresa Jean Menefee

Theresa Menefee, often known as “Jenny”, age 65 of Lancaster, TX, passed away on January 7th, 2024, at home surrounded by family. She was born in Dallas, TX to Harlan Wayne Fails and Marie Alieen Faget on March 2nd, 1958.

Her children remember her as a carefree, free spirited, and fiercely protective mother. Forever the gift giver and lover of adventure, Jenny was known for being perpetually happy and ready to tackle every day with a smile on her face. The need to stay busy never left her, as Theresa loved expressing her creativity in any way she could. Often times, she could be heard telling people to "tell her something good". Jenny was always embracing the happier and more joyful sides of life in this way. She will be sorely missed by those who had the privilege of knowing her, and the memories she left on those around her will be with them forevermore.

She is preceded in death by her father, Harlan Wayne Fails.

She is survived by her mother, Marie Aline Faget; daughters Jeanette Tucker of Lancaster, TX, Juliet Cox-Harvey of Red Oak, TX, and Jeneice Paniagua-Kevin of Ferris, TX; siblings Chris, Sherry, Timmy, Spike, Daniel, Gordy, Tina, and Wayne; and grandchildren Divine, Desmond, Aniyah, Solana, and Cruz.

A Memorial Service is planned for Saturday, January 20, 2024, at Covenant Church with Pastor Michael Masek officiating. Covenant Church is located at 959 FM 664 Ferris, Texas 75125. The family will welcome friends for service at 12:00 Noon.
