Terrie (Gutierrez) Trevino

Maria Teresa "Terrie" (Gutierrez), Trevino age 63 of Ferris, Texas passed away Friday, December 18, 2020. She was born to the late Jose Angel and Maria DeJesus (Ramirez) Gutierrez in Waxahachie, Texas in June of 1957. After high school, she joined the National Guard, training at Fort Hood. She then later met and married the love of her life, Raul Trevino and together they raised their daughter Joanna. Terrie worked for Mid-Tex (Mazda) as a load coordinator in Midlothian, Texas for 25 years before her retirement. She later gained her Associate Degree in Business from Navarro College.  She was a long-time Ferris area resident, she is remembered as a strong woman, never afraid to speak her mind, and was known to be quite a cohete (firecracker)! She loved her Dallas Cowboys, traveling, and creating new memories with her friends and family. Terrie loved her family in Brownsville and loved visiting South Padre. She visited Myrtle Beach in South Carolina. She made several memorable trips to Florida: visiting Disney world, Coco beach and Destin, making special memories. She was adventurous and loved tubing with her grandchildren, parasailing with her daughter, and playing at casinos.  Her love of life kept her young at heart. she will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her parents; loving husband Raul Trevino; and brothers: Elias Ruiz, Manuel Ruiz and Rogelio Gutierrez.
She is survived by her daughter Joanna and husband Tino Zapata of Ferris; adoring grandchildren: Jo-Matthew Zapata and Mia Ann Zapata; brothers: Javier Ruiz of Brownsville, Joe Gutierrez of Waxahachie, Gilbert Gutierrez of Waxahachie, Arnulfo Gutierrez of Waxahachie and Johnny Gutierrez of Waxahachie; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family members and friends.

Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 PM with Rosary at 7:00 PM Monday, December 21, 2020 at Green Funeral Home. Mask Required.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at the Corpus Christi Catholic Parish. Mask required.
