Steven Jay Wall, age 58 of Dallas, Texas passed away August 13, 2023. He was born October 30, 1964 in Comanche, Texas to the late S. J. and Patsy R. (Payne) Wall. Growing up in Comanche he was active in sports: basketball, track and also marching band, in which he played the trombone. He graduated with the class of 1983 and went on to attend college at Tarleton State University, where he continued in marching band and earned his bachelor degree in accounting. Steve began his accounting career in the hospitality industry in Dallas, Texas. He then went on to live and work in Colorado Springs, Colorado; Key West, Florida; Los Angeles, California; back to Key West, Florida, and finally home to Dallas, Texas. He was an avid golfer in his early years and played on several intracity softball teams. He was a highly competitive individual, never ever losing a game when playing Old Maid, or Candyland with his niece and nephew when they were younger. As an accountant, he was always counting and could easily anticipate his seat on many of the Disney rides when visiting the park with his family. However, music was his life long passion. He enjoyed several trips to see the Drum Corps International performances; he joined Dallas’ Turtle Creek Chorale in 2008 and was a current singing member. He also enjoyed many live performance concerts including most recently seeing Gladys Knight and Patti LaBelle. He is loved and will truly be missed by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his parents S. J. and Patsy R. Wall.
He is survived by his sister Melinda Megna of Comanche, Texas; nephew J. Frank Megna of Comanche, Texas; niece Emily and husband Jason Dorman of Plano, Texas; his very close friend Bob Idzi; and his beloved mini golden doodle Granger.
A Memorial Service is planned for a later date.
