Shelley R. (Robinson) Eaker

Shelley R. Eaker was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and daughter. Shelley passed away on July 15,2022 at the age of 57 in Ferris, Texas after a four and a half year courageously fought battle with cancer, surrounded by her loving family. Shelley fought hard so she could continue to take care of her family and friends. Shelley was a loving mother and was always there for those in need.

Shelley was born May 16, 1965 to Gerald Robinson and Suzon Robinson Thornton and was raised by her loving, great-grandmother, mother Etta. She attended school in Dawson, Texas and Mesquite, Texas. Shelley met the love of her life and her lifelong husband, David Eaker and married him on February 13, 1987. David and Shelley enjoyed a happy life. Shelley had five children: Calvin, Chris, Jami, Annie, and Alex. Shelley had 17 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Shelley was the manager of the Dairy Queen in Ferris, Texas for 14 years. She took great pride in her position and enjoyed meeting the customers. Shelley had a great relationship with her DQ family who loved, and cherished her.

Shelley collected various antiques and chime clocks. Shelley also enjoyed fishing. She shared the  enjoyment of fishing with her husband any chance she got. Shelley had a love for all animals like no other.

Shelley is survived by her husband David; father Gerald Robinson; mother Suzon Thronton; children: Calvin, Chris, Jami, Annie, Alex; 17 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Shelley's family would like to thank the wonderful doctors and nurses at Baylor Scott & White Cancer Center in Waxahachie for the special care Shelley received.

Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 PM Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at Green Funeral Home Ferris, Texas.

Funeral Service will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at Green Funeral Home Ferris, Texas.

Interment to follow at Crown Hill Memorial Park Dallas, Texas.
