Sharon Lee Wilson

Sharon Wilson, age 83, of Red Oak, TX passed away unexpectedly, December 7th, 2022. She was a loving mother of three children and widowed wife to husband(s) Joe Womack Jr. and Roy Wilson.  She was born August 6, 1939 in Lapeer, Michigan to Jay Heck and Inez (Manning) Heck. She came from a large family of 8 sisters and 2 brothers. Sharon was influenced by her family upbringing to go on to become a loving wife, mother, Grandma and Gigi.  Sharon and Joe raised three children in Flint, Michigan. Her passions were family, music, bowling, travel, gardening, cooking, interior design and her love for her country. She was involved in the Exchange Club, charitable work and a mentor to children in Vero Beach, FL where she resided for 31 years before moving to Red Oak, TX to be near her family. 

She is survived by daughters Cheryl (Bob) Cortez of Red Oak, TX and Cynthia (Michael) Devereaux of Keller, TX.  Sisters ~ Betty Jerome, Judy Skene, Donna Gregory, Kathy Vesely. Grandchildren ~ Christina Nicholls, Jeremy Brown, Nicole Nitz, Kellie Garland, Jennifer Brown, Michelle Womack, Brandon Brown, Jacob Cortez, Marcus Cortez, Nicholas Cortez. Great Grand Children ~ Nevyn, Lex-ee, Draxxyn, Jaidyn, Cheyenne, Madalynn, Braylynn, Brandon II, Ella, Autumn, Hunter, Cha’Caiden, Ona.

She is preceded in death by Joe Womack Jr, Roy Wilson (husbands), Jeffery Womack(son), Jay and Inez Heck (parents), Robert and William Heck (Brothers),  Carol Tremaine, Patsy Henry, Marilyn Boots, Janice Heck (sisters).

Memorial Service will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at Green Funeral Home Red Oak, Texas
