Rolo "R.L." Leroy Dake

Rolo “R.L.” Leroy Dake, Jr., age 77 of Glenn Heights, TX passed away on Friday, July 16, 2021.  He was born on November 9, 1943, in Dallas, TX to the late Rolo Leroy, Sr., and Dessie Lee (Crump) Dake.  He served in the United States Army for four years and then worked as a truck driver for Logistics for several years.  In his younger years, R.L. enjoyed playing softball and got to coach both of his daughters’ softball teams.  He loved nature and fishing at Purtis Creek, spending time with his beloved dog Lucille and most especially spending time with his grandbabies. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, his two sisters, and his son Timothy Dake.

He is survived by his daughter Samantha and husband Logan Faber of Boulder, CO; daughter Miranda and husband Tyler Stroop of Red Oak; grandchildren Cora and Henry Faber of Boulder, CO and Abigail, Tyler Jr., Allison and Travis Stroop of Red Oak as well as numerous other extended family and friends. 

A memorial service for R.L. will be held at Heritage Baptist Church in Waxahachie Texas at 12 pm on July 29, 2021.
