Roger Leon Drolet

Roger Leon Drolet, age 79 of Waxahachie, Texas passed away on July 11, 2026. He was born on April 13, 1947 in Oahu, Hawaii. He was the oldest of ten siblings.

Roger attended high school in California, graduating in 1965. He continued his education throughout the years, earning a master’s degree as well as additional professional degrees and credentials. Roger was also a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA), an accomplishment that reflected his intelligence, dedication and strong professional drive.

Roger proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. Following his military service, he moved to Chicago for work. His career later brought him to Texas with Budget Rent-A-Car. Highly motivated and career-driven, Roger took great pride in his work. Work was more than a profession to him; it was truly one of his greatest interests. He also enjoyed day trading and continually looked for opportunities to learn, grow, and challenge himself.

Roger possessed a wonderfully dry sense of humor and always thought he was the funniest person in the room. He enjoyed making others laugh and was rarely one to pass up an opportunity to share a joke or witty remark.

An excellent softball player, Roger played on the Budget Rent-A-Car softball team, where he became affectionately known as “Roger Dodger.” He also valued staying active and enjoyed going to the gym, particularly cycling and walking on the treadmill.

Roger will be remembered for his strong work ethic, dedication, intelligence, quick wit, competitive spirit, and ability to bring laughter to those around him. His life of service, hard work, determination, and humor leaves many treasured memories for all who knew and loved him.

A Memorial with Air Force Honors at Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery will be planned at a later date.
