Rodrigo Chavez

Rodrigo Chávez, 39 años de Lancaster, Texas, falleció el 13 de agosto de 2021. Nació en Zacatecas, México el 4 de agosto de 1982 de Vicente Chávez e Irene Torres. Rodrigo llegó a los Estados Unidos a la edad de 15 años a Lancaster, Texas y comenzó a trabajar para Total Metal fabricando chapas metálicas durante 20 años. Recientemente comenzó la construcción, especializándose en paneles de yeso. Siempre estaba de buen humor, contaba chistes y hacía reír a los demás; escuchando y bailando su música favorita. Toda su vida amó a los caballos y quiso comprarse uno de nuevo. Era una persona muy limpia muchas veces limpiando la casa para Horalva y asegurándose de que oliera bien y fresca. Rodrigo era un individuo responsable, siempre dispuesto a hacer lo que fuera necesario para mantener a su familia y seres queridos. Él será extrañado por todos los que lo conocieron.

Le precedieron en la muerte su padre Vicente Chávez y su padrastro Juan Chávez.

Lo sobrevive su esposa Horalva Hernández; niños: Chrisitan Chavez, Angel Chavez, Daniel Chavez y Arely Chavez; madre Irene Torres; hermanos: María y esposo Juan Escogido, Armandina y esposo Armando Espinoza, Filimon Chavez, Vicente y esposa Anna Chavez, Antonio Chavez, Herlinda y esposo David Lopez; muchas otras sobrinas, sobrinos y otros familiares y amigos extendidos.

El velorio comenzará a las 6:00 p. m. En el domo de la parroquia católica de Corpus Christi el martes 17 de agosto de 2021.

La misa de cristiana sepultura será a las 10:00 a.m. del miércoles 18 de agosto de 2021 en la parroquia católica de Corpus Christi.

Rodrigo Chavez, age 39 of Lancaster, Texas passed away August 13, 2021. He was born in Zacatecas, Mexico on August 4, 1982 to Vincente Chavez and Irene Torres. Rodrigo came to the US at the age of 15 to Lancaster, Texas and began working for Total Metal doing sheet metal fabrication for 20 years. He recently began construction, specializing in drywall. He was always in good humor, telling jokes and making others laugh; listening and dancing to his favorite music. All his life he loved horses and was wanting to buy himself one again. He was a very clean individual many times cleaning the house for Horalva and making sure it smelled good and fresh. Rodrigo was a responsible individual, always willing to do what it took to provide for his family and loved ones. He will be missed by all who knew him. 

He is preceded in death by his father Vincente Chavez and stepfather Juan Chavez.

He is survived by wife Horalva Hernandez; children: Chrisitan Chavez, Angel Chavez, Daniel Chavez and Arely Chavez; mother Irene Torres; siblings: Maria and husband Juan Escogido, Armandina and husband Armando Espinoza, Filimon Chavez, Vicente and wife Anna Chavez, Antonio Chavez, Herlinda and husband David Lopez; many other nieces, nephews and other extended family members and friends.

Visitation will begin at 6:00 PM at the Dome at Corpus Christi Catholic Parish Tuesday, August 17, 2021. 

Mass of Christian burial will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at Corpus Christi Catholic Parish. 

Burial to follow at Ferris Memorial Park North, Ferris, Texas.
