Rodney J. Gonzales, age 50, passed away October 10, 2020 in LeFlore, Oklahoma. He was born in December of 1969 to Rico Gonzales and Wanda Gail Bennett in Dallas, Texas. Rodney loved the Lord and adored his children and grandchildren beyond measure. He was an amazing Uncle to his nieces and nephews and will be missed by all who knew him. He lived passionately every day and enjoyed many sports events including: NASCAR, golf, horse racing, football, always cheering for the Dallas Cowboys and was an avid poker player. He was a Founding Member of the poker league "Dirty Aces", in 2017 with 10 members, now 30 plus, and together they have traveled and played in tournaments locally and all the way to Las Vegas! Rodney loved all kinds of music, taking the open road on his Harley and visiting Galveston for beach bike rallies and hunting on his property in Oklahoma. Rodney enjoyed his work as a truck driver for Waste Connections in Midlothian for the last 13 years.
He is preceded in death by his father Rico Gonzales; maternal grandmother, Wanda Louise Walters, and paternal grandparents Tom, and Hortencia Gonzales; aunts: Arizona Johnson and Carolyn Bennett.
He is survived by his children: Erika Renae Gonzales and partner Stephen Mitchell of Mesa, Arizona and Erik Kristian Gonzales and partner Dr. Daniel Reed of Marina, California; their mother Donna Hampton; grandsons: Gavin Ruegsegger and Cannon Mitchell of Mesa, Arizona; mother Wanda Bennett of Kerens, siblings: twin brother Ronney and wife Danette Gonzales and family of Bedford, Danny and wife Lori Gonzales and family of Ferris, Jennifer and husband Robert Ritchey and family of Ferris, Kattie and husband Billy McKinney and family of Burleson, Mikey and wife Kim and family, Dennis and wife Darrah Taylor, Jr. and family, Scott Hamm, John Lee and Marie Adams; step-mother Marilyn Gonzales of Mansfield, uncle Weldon Bennett, Kila Bennett, Tony and Diane Bennett; as well as a host of other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 PM Friday, October 16, 2020 at Green Funeral Home, Mask Required inside Funeral Home.

Memorial Contributions may be made in Rodney's honor to the American Heart Association, American Diabetes Association or to the Trump Campaign.
The family will gather for a reception after the service. Food, deserts and beverages may be taken to 411 Mohundro Rd, Ferris, Texas 75125.
