Robert Francisco Rodriguez

Roberto “Robert” Francisco Rodriguez was born on May 20,1976 in the small south Texas town of Carrizo Springs. Through the years he took on many nicknames such as Pancho, Panchis, Panchito, Panch, Robe, Pancherelli, Otooley Oreilly Oshay and Dupe. He was constantly teased for being a momma’s boy, auntie’s boy, uncle’s boy, grandma’s boy and everyone’s boy. He was the family favorite for hugs and the best person to go to for a shoulder to lean on. Robert was raised in Crystal City, Texas from birth to the age of fifteen. In 1989 his family relocated to Ferris, Texas where he spent the rest of his life. Robert spent 27 years in the custom cabinet industry. His passion for woodworking started in 1990 when he joined K-Construction working in their cabinet shop as a helper. In 1994 he joined Gatlin Cabinets where he dedicated himself to helping transform a small cabinet company into what ultimately became Sunrise Wood Designs where he rose to the position of Executive Vice President of Operations. He loved serving his work family and he was proud to represent SWD. Robert lived life to the fullest and had many passions ranging from riding his Harley Davidson with his friends to traveling. Family was at the center of everything that he did. Robert loved his nieces and nephews like they were his own children. His love grew to new levels the day his daughter was born. Robert’s new boss became princess Lola. They enjoyed playing with Barbies, working outside and spending time painting Daddy’s toe nails. Robert accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and personal savior and was baptized as a teenager. On October 8, 2021 at the age of 45 he went home to be with the Lord.

He is survived by wife Irma and daughter Lola of Ferris, Texas; mother Esmeralda R. Torres of Ferris, Texas; sister Mary Ann Cervantes and husband Juan of Buda, Texas, brother Tomas Torres and wife Leticia of Austin, Texas, brother Ricardo Rodriguez and wife Yvonne of Ferris, Texas, brother Jesse Rodriguez and wife Sabrina of Red Oak, Texas, sister Gracie Garza and husband Daniel of Ferris, Texas; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and a multitude of family and friends.

Visitation will be 6:00 - 9:00 PM Friday, October 15, 2021 at Fundamental Baptist Church 209 W. Jefferson St. Palmer, Texas 75152

Funeral Service will be 11:00 AM Saturday, October 16, 2021 at Fundamental Baptist Church 209 W. Jefferson St. Palmer, Texas 75152

Interment will be 1:00 PM Saturday, October 16, 2021 at Ferris Memorial Park North, Ferris, Texas.

Celebration of Life will follow at 2:30 PM at Fundamental Baptist Church Family Life Center 209 W. Jefferson St. Palmer, Texas 75152, the family invites all to join.
