Baby boy River Parker Davis, passed away on October 28, 2025. River was born on June 11, 2025 in Waxahachie, Texas to his devoted parents Kelley Parker Davis and Annabelle May Griswold. From the very beginning, River was a fighter. Though his health brought challenges, his spirit shone brightly through it all. He was a happy baby, quick to smile, to curl his little fists, and to smack his lips in delight when fed. River had a sweet yet stubborn streak that made everyone who met him fall even more in love with him. He spent much of his short life in the hospital, where he became a cherished part of the nurses’ hearts. His gentle eyes, precious smile, and resilient nature made him a light to everyone who cared for him. River loved playing with his little elephant and often drifted to sleep holding it close. Above all, he loved being held, he wanted to be near the ones who loved him most, and he made sure everyone knew when he needed comfort. River’s time on earth was brief, but his impact was immeasurable. He taught his family and caregivers about strength, love, and the beauty of every moment.
He has survived by his parents Kelley Davis and Annabelle Griswold; brother Dayton Davis; sister Rose Davis; grandfather William and wife Stacy Bonnell; grandmother Dodie and husband Christopher Manning; grandmother Sheri Anderson; grandfather Justin Griswold and wife Lori Lasso; great-grandmother Cyndi McDaniel; great grandfather, James and Sandy Bonnell Great-grandmother Judy and husband John Cook; great-great-grandfather Bob and wife Judy Reno; uncles: Tanner Bonnell, Aaron Bonnell and Christopher Manning; as well as numerous other extended family members.
