Raymond William Bruce, Jr.

Raymond William Bruce Jr., age 65, of Ferris, Texas passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 in Ft Worth, Texas just after sunrise, with his daughter and son by his side. He passed away after a courageous battle with stage 4 cancer.
Raymond was born in Swickley, Pennsylvania on May 21, 1955 to the late Raymond W. and Ann (Lonchiek) Bruce of Aliquippa, Pennsylvania. He grew up in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania and decided to move to Dallas, Texas in the early 1980's, where he met his soul mate, Angela Kay Bruce. Raymond was married to the late Angela Kay Bruce from 1983 until her passing in 2011. At an early age, he became fascinated with figuring out how things worked, so much so, that he pursued a lifelong career as a maintenance mechanic. He was a loving husband and father. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching his favorite tv shows, listening to his favorite music, and being a loving grandfather to his granddaughter Madalynn.

Raymond is survived by daughter Rebecca Ray Bruce of Waxahachie, Texas and son Raymond Trenton Bruce of Ferris, Texas; granddaughter Madalynn Kay Gonzalez; sister Sandra Bruce Shockey Hornzell of Laurel, Maryland and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his wife Angela Kay Bruce; father Raymond W. Bruce; mother Ann Bruce and sister Barbara Koss.

Visitation is 6:00 - 8:00 PM Thursday, April 1, 2021 at Green Funeral Home, 207 S. Wood St., Ferris, Texas. 

Funeral service is at 11:00 AM Friday, April 2, 2021 at Green Funeral Home, Ferris, Texas with interment to follow at Bristol Cemetery, Bristol, Texas.
