Randolph "Randy" Samuel Smith

Randolph “Randy” Samuel Smith, age 83, passed away October 25, 2024. He was born on December 1, 1941 in Dallas, Texas to Floyd Smith and Marie Piazza.
A bright and driven student, Randolph graduated from high school in Dallas and went on to attend St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, Texas. There he was actively involved in the ROTC, preparing him for a period of distinguished service in the U.S. Army. After his military career he spent time in California before ultimately returning to his hometown of Dallas, Texas.
Randolph was known for his intelligence and sharp mind, which he applied during a successful career as an engineer with Microsoft. His dedication to his craft and passion for innovation left a lasting impact on his colleagues and the industry he loved.
Randolph will be remembered for his wit, wisdom, and the quiet strength he displayed throughout his life.
