Paul Lee Rice

Paul Lee Rice, age 52 of Red Oak, Texas passed away March 20, 2022. He was born September 2, 1969 in Seattle, Washington. His family was stationed by the Navy on Whidbey Island, Washington, where he attended elementary school, then to San Jose, California and on to Glenview, Illinois where he attended junior high and high school. They then moved to Red Oak, Texas where he graduated from Red Oak high school in the Class of 1988. He attended college and received his Masters Degree in Business Management at the University of Texas at Arlington. He married and had two beautiful daughters: Samantha and Olivia. His career floated him around the field of open sales for several years. Over the years Paul enjoyed the outdoors: his father remembers a canoeing trip with the Boy Scouts down the Mississippi River. He also enjoyed fishing and golfing; putting in the backyard, sometimes filling it with golf balls. He had a humorous personality and always loved to make others laugh and was always clever in conversation. Paul loved his daughters and enjoyed visiting with them on the phone as well as on social media. He loved to cook and grill; never using a recipe, but what he made was always so good and could really cook a fine steak. He will be missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents.

He is survived by his parents Elbert C. and Irita G. (Morgansen) Rice of Red Oak, Texas; daughters: Samantha Marie Rice and Olivia Rice of Meridian, Idaho; their mother Susan Rice of Meridian, Idaho; uncles: Roy Lee and wife Carolyn Rice of Muleshoe, Texas, Don and wife Dorothy Abney of Patterson, Louisiana, Rickey Morgensen of Brownfield, Texas, Jerry Morgensen of Greeley, Colorado; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family members and friends.

A Gathering to Celebrate his life will be 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM Saturday, March 26, 2022 at Green Funeral Home Red Oak, Texas 105 Vintage Dr., Red Oak, Texas 75154.
