Michael Ray Peeples, age 70, of Ferris, Texas passed away on June 4, 2023. He was born in Odessa, Texas to Dennis Clifton and Donna Jeannine (Mahoney) Peeples on November 3, 1952. Mike grew up and attended schools in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. After high school he attended and graduated from Central State University where he obtained a bachelor’s in computer science. He then met and later married his first wife, Kathy Graziano, and they had two children together. They remained friends. In 1997 he met and married Mary Stanley. When he proposed marriage to her, he gave her an atlas and said, “Let me show you the world” and he did just that. The two traveled the world together in the 26 years they spent together. Mike spent 24 years working as the senior computer scientist at Western Digital in California. It was that job that took him to Singapore and that became his favorite place he traveled. He also attended the Bible Study Fellowship. He retired in 2013, he and Mary settled in Ferris, Texas where they became Hay farmers and beekeepers. When he wasn’t working, he was traveling. He really enjoyed historical destinations. Mike was an animal lover, but it was the cats that had his heart. He never met a stranger. Mike was loved by everyone he met. Mike was a big kid at heart, loving to joke, laugh and always having fun. Social Media entertained him. He will be dearly missed by all that knew him.
Mike is preceded in death by his mother Donna Jeannine, his brother Paul Peeples and his grandparents.
He is survived by his loving wife Mary Peeples of Ferris, Texas; children: Michael “Joey” and Kelly Peeples of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Anna and Matt Elder of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; grandchildren: Owen, Penelope, Evan, Avery, and Oliver; his father Dennis Clifton and RaeLynne Peeples of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; one nephew Clifton and Gabby Peeples of El Paso, Texas and his first wife Kathy Graziano as well as numerous other extended family members and friends.
