Melissa Lynn (Perdue) Vanderveer, age 42 of Red Oak, Texas passed away September 12, 2025. She was born on January 1, 1983 in Fort Worth, Texas and was raised in Red Oak, Texas where she lived her entire life. Melissa graduated from Red Oak High School in 2001, where she also studied cosmetology. It was during these years that she met her high school sweetheart Brandon J. Vanderveer. Their paths led them different directions through the years, but after reuniting, they were married on March 2, 2013 beginning a beautiful life together. Melissa attended Everest College, earning her Associate of Applied Science degree. She worked in various roles throughout her career, but for 16 years she dedicated herself as office manager at the family business of A-All Area Aire. Later, she attended the Training Academy in Ferris to obtain her certification as a CMA, continuing her passion for helping others. Melissa will be remembered for her feisty spirit, bubbly personality, her love for the color teal, and her generous, compassionate heart. She was always willing to lend a hand, give of herself, and brighten someone’s day with her laughter and love. She adored all animals especially her horses, dogs, and longhorn cattle. Melissa loved the simple joys of country life, like lying on hay bales to gaze at the stars. She was also a gun enthusiast, and enjoyed hog hunting wherever she could. Melissa found joy in tending her plants, soaking up the sun at the beach, and getting “all dolled up” to enjoy a night out with her husband at her favorite Dallas restaurant, The Iron Cactus. Melissa cherished the time she spent with family, friends, and loved ones who will forever remember her warmth, her strength, and her beautiful spirit.
