Melbra Bozone Obituary

Mrs. Melbra Juanita "Nita" Bozone, aged 94, of Ovilla, Texas, passed away on the
August 21, 2024. Born on July 31, 1930, in Webb City, Missouri, she was the
cherished daughter of the late Mr. Denver C. Horine, Sr. and Mrs. Melbra J. Horine.
A faithful servant, Mrs. Bozone lived a life of devotion to her Lord and Savior,
manifest in her longstanding membership and active participation at Sandia
Baptist Church in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and subsequently at Bear Creek
Baptist Church in Glenn Heights, Texas.
For 30 years, Mrs. Bozone committed her professional skills as a dedicated
Secretary at Sandia Laboratories, retiring in 1985. Her vocational legacy is one
marked by diligence and exceptional service.
Mrs. Bozone's Christian love was reflected through her voluntary contributions at
Red Oak Elementary and participation in the District and Campus Site-Based
Decision-Making Committee. She took great pleasure in the simplicity of reading,
the camaraderie of bowling, and the strategic challenge posed by games of
Pinochle and Canasta.
Left to cherish her memory are her devoted sons, Lieutenant-Commander Richard
D. Clark, USN (Ret.) and Fire-Marshall/Inspector David A. Clark (Ret.), her loving
daughters, Mrs. Virginia V. Lindsey and Mrs. Dena L. Taylor, her step-son Mr.
Thomas C. Bozone, and her adored 13 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren,
and four great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Bozone now joins her late husband, Mr. Thomas M. Bozone; her beloved
daughter, Miss Linda S. Clark; her treasured granddaughter, Miss Marcia L.
Gromer; her revered parents; and her dear siblings whom she outlived.
The family suggests that in place of flowers, memorial gifts should be given in her
name to Wounded Warriors or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, which was
close to Mrs. Bozone's generous heart.
Greene Funeral Home, Red Oak, Texas will oversee funeral services. Mrs. Bozone's
earthly remains will find their rest alongside her husband at Sunset Memorial Park,
Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Mrs. Bozone's gentle spirit, nurturing love, and unwavering commitment to her
faith and family will remain a testament to a well-lived life. She will be dearly
missed by all those blessed by her presence.
