Martha Jean (Brock) Davis

Martha Jean (Brock) Davis passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday, October 10, 2025 in Ennis, Texas.

Martha was born on August 26, 1933 to J. W. and Frances Agnes (Barker) Brock in Ennis, TX

On November 10, 1950, Martha married James Davis. They made their home in Bristol, TX where they raised their children. Martha worked for many years at Republic National Bank in Dallas and Associates Financial Services in Irving

Martha was a dedicated member of First Baptist Church in Ferris. She volunteered at the Bristol Cemetery Association's annual Thanksgiving fundraiser for many years. She and James enjoyed vacationing with family and friends. She loved her coffee, the cats she had as pets over the years and would rather be working outside in her yard than being inside.

Martha was preceded in death by her husband James Davis, her parents J.W. and Frances Brock and her sister and brother-in-law, Mary Jo and Eddie Howard. She is survived by her son Greg Davis (D'Lynn), daughter Cherri Aday (Doug) grandchildren Doug Aday, Jr. (Casey), Laci Dobie (T.R.), Philip Davis (Shelley), and Andrea Rhodes. She is also survived by her great grandchildren Sadie Aday, Wyatt Aday, Kenli Dobie, Brock Dobie, Stiles Dobie, Landri Davis, Maverick Davis and Parker Rhodes. In addition, she is survived nephews Ricky Howard (Tammy), Dale Davis (Kim), Neil Davis (Amy) and nieces Pam Davidson (Kevin), Vickie Stacks (Roger) and Pat Randle (Terry) along with many great nieces, nephews, cousins and friends whom she loved very much.

Visitation will be 12:00 PM  at First Baptist Church in Ferris on Thursday, October 16, 2025

Funeral Service will follow at 1:00 PM with Doug Aday, Sr. officiating.

Pallbearers are: Dale Davis, Kevin Davidson, Gary Threadgill, Jason Sutherland, Justin Howard, Roger Stacks and Trevor Baldwin.

Interment will be in the Bristol Cemetery under the direction of Green Funeral Home.

The family would like to give their sincerest thanks to Legend Oaks Ennis and Bristol Hospice for the love and care that was given to Martha.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be given in her name to the Bristol Cemetery Association.
