Mark Dwaine Jennings

Mark Dwaine Jennings, age 62 of Waxahachie, Texas passed away on September 16, 2025. He was born on December 1, 1962 in Grand Prairie, Texas to Carroll Jennings and Barbara Grogan. Mark grew up in Grand Prairie and graduated from South Grand Prairie High School. After high school, he married and began his family where he had three beautiful children. He built a career working with metal fabrication and welding components as well as concrete. He spent many years with Maddox Metal Works where his skill, work ethic, and dedication were highly valued until his retirement. In his younger days, Mark loved helping family with drag racing, welding roll cages for race cars and sharing in the excitement of the track. He was a man who worked hard and loved even harder. He was big-hearted, social, and full of life. He had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and enjoyed bass fishing with his brothers, golf, weekend hunting trips, and cheering on both the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Longhorns. Retirement was not an end to his creativity or curiosity; Mark began building motorized Lego cars and found joy in the small details. He also developed new daily routines, including outings to Starbucks with his fur baby Daky, dinner, and car rides to visit his children and grandchildren. His family remembers him as a caregiver, a man who always said goodbye with a kiss, who was sometimes stubborn, but whose love was fierce and unwavering. He was especially fond of spoiling his grandchildren with candy whenever he babysat, creating memories they will cherish forever. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents Carroll Jennings and Barbara Vick, stepfather DJ Vick and brother Michael Jennings.

He is survived by the love of his life Bonnie Jennings; children: Billy and Toni Jennings, Crystal Jennings, Heather Jennings, Jeromy and Asmeret Robinson and Bethanie and Kodi Wallgren; 15 grandchildren; sisters: Tammy and husband Larry Allen, Michelle and husband Scott Hosford and Carol and husband Kevin Wallace, sister in law Tanya Jennings; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family members and friends.

Memorial Service will be 11:00 AM Friday, October 3, 2025 at Green Funeral Home  105 Vintage Dr Red Oak, Texas. Pastor Brian Parham officiating.
