María De La Luz Ramírez Santos María conoció al amor de su vida, Esteban Santos, y se casaron el 11 de octubre de 1981. La fe de María en el Señor era inquebrantable y encontraba gozo al asistir a la iglesia, cantar en el coro y compartir el amor de Dios con los demás. Su espíritu solidario era evidente en su papel de madre y abuela devota. María tenía pasión por la cocina, extrañaremos sus tortillas de harina caseras y su especialidad pollo frito. Le gustaba cuidar las gallinas de su patio trasero y desayunar en Panera Bread Company. Su familia aprecia un viaje memorable a Disney World en Florida en 2013. Sus nietos fueron la luz de su vida y le encantaba cuidar niños y estar presente en sus eventos. Su familia fue su mayor logro y se enorgullecía de mantener una familia unida y amorosa. María también se tomó tiempo para cuidarse, siempre lucía lo mejor posible con el cabello y las uñas arregladas y siempre olía muy bien. María deja un legado de amor, fe y familia. Todos los que la conocieron la extrañaremos profundamente.
Le precedieron en la muerte sus padres: Jesús y Agapita Ramírez; hermanos: José Ramírez y José Bosquez.
Le sobreviven su esposo Esteban Santos; hijos: Jaime y esposa Luz Santos, Alicia y esposo Víctor Badillo y Cherye y esposo José Arredondo; ocho nietos: Jazmín, Samuel, José, Santiago, Jaime, Joselynn, Sebastián y Camila; hermanos: Eduardo Ramírez, Ezequiel Ramírez Guerra, Andrea Ramírez, Reyna Fernández, Faustino Ramírez, Jesús Ramírez y Felipe Ramírez.

Maria De La Luz Ramirez Santos, age 64 passed away July 31, 2024. She was born on September 17, 1959 in Nueva Rosita, Coahuila, Mexico to Jesus Ramirez and Agapita Herrera. Maria met the love of her life Esteban Santos and they married on October 11, 1981. Maria's faith in the Lord was unwavering, and she found joy in attending church, singing in the choir, and sharing God’s love with others. Her nurturing spirit was evident in her role as a devoted mother and grandmother. Maria had a passion for cooking, her homemade flour tortillas and specialty fried chicken will be missed. She enjoyed tending to her backyard chickens and having breakfast at Panera Bread Company. Her family cherishes a memorable trip to Disney World in Florida in 2013. Her grandchildren were the light of her life and she loved babysitting and being present for their events. Her family was her greatest achievement and she took pride in maintaining a united, loving family. Maria also took time for self-care, always looking her best with her hair and nails done, and always smelled so good. Maria leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her parents: Jesus and Agapita Ramirez; brothers: Jose Ramirez and Jose Bosquez.
She is survived by her husband Esteban Santos; children: Jaime and wife Luz Santos, Alicia and husband Victor Badillo and Cherye and husband Jose Arredondo; eight grandchildren: Jazmin, Samuel, Jose, Santiago, Jaime, Joselynn, Sebastian and Camila; siblings: Eduardo Ramirez, Ezequiel Ramirez Guerra, Andrea Ramirez, Reyna Fernandez, Faustino Ramirez, Jesus Ramirez and Felipe Ramirez.
Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 PM Sunday, August 4, 2024 at Green Funeral Home Red Oak, Texas.
Funeral Service will be 2:00 PM Monday, August 5, 2024 at Green Funeral Home Red Oak, Texas. Pastor Adrian Hernandez officiating.
Interment will follow at the Red Oak Cemetery.
