Maria Teresa (Garza) Munoz

Maria Teresa (Garza) Munoz, age 81 of Seagoville, Texas passed away Tuesday, February 23, 2021. She was born August 14, 1939 in McAllen, Texas to the late Jose and Guadalupe Garza. After moving to Seagoville, she married the love of her life Felipe on January 22, 1966. As a homemaker, she loved the Lord and her church. Her family remembers her love of cooking, especially her flour tortillas and desire that her family be united together as often as possible. Maria loved to visit her friends and family in the Rio Grand Valley, as well short trips to Oklahoma to the Casino. She loved playing bingo and babysitting and looking after her adoring grandchildren or watching them play sports. She will be missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded by her loving husband Felipe H. Munoz; her parents; siblings: Jose Garza, Pablo Garza, Jesus Garza, Gilberto Garza, Issa Garza, Gregoria Garza, Ines Pena, Rosa Garza, Angela Valadez and Otila Garza.

She is survived by her children: Dora L. and husband Alberto Rios of Wilmer, Rosa M. and husband Ismael Perez of Seagoville, Rene M. Munoz & Ma Del Carmen Arvizu of Red Oak, Matilde Munoz and husband Ignacio Hernandez of Lancaster, Jose J. Munoz of Seagoville, Carlos and wife Rachel Munoz of Mesquite and Christopher L. and wife Alma R. Munoz of Lancaster; 25 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; siblings: Maria Perez of Seagoville, Ignacia Garcia of McAllen, Josephina Gonzalez of Caldwell, Idaho, Elva Garcia of Seagoville, Natividad Garza of Waxahachie, Guadalupe Barrientos of Madera, California, Francisco Garza of McAllen and Ruben Garza of McAllen; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family members and friends.

Visitation will be 2:00 - 8:00 PM Friday, March 5, 2021 with Rosary at 6:30 PM at Green Funeral Home, Ferris, Texas. MASK REQUIRED.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM Saturday, March 6, 2021 at Corpus Christi Catholic Parish, Ferris, Texas. Deacon Jose Muniz, Celebrant. MASK REQUIRED.

Interment will be 12:30 PM at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Seagoville, Texas.
