Lynn Rowley Obituary

Lynn D Rowley, beloved brother and son, passed away on May 28, 2026, at the age of 75.

Lynn was born on March 14, 1951, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to his cherished parents, Victor Leon Rowley and Fawn May Rowley. He graduated from South High School with honors in Technical Illustration, showcasing an early artistic talent that would evolve into a lifelong passion. Following high school, Lynn answered the call to serve his country, joining the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, where he served with distinction as an Air traffic Controller. Upon transitioning back to civilian life, he carried this expertise into a dedicated career with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), serving as an Air Traffic Controller until his retirement.

Outside of his professional life, Lynn was an extraordinarily talented, award-winning model maker. He shared his passion and artistry with fellow hobbyists as an active member of the International Plastic Modelers' Society (IPMS/USA) and the North Texas Figure Club Group.  He was also an avid car enthusiast Re-building and modifying many cars thru his life including his 1967 Chevelle SS, and 1990 Corvette.

It was during his high school years that he met his high school sweetheart, Joann Shaw. The two were later married, and though they later divorced, that chapter remained a meaningful part of his life's journey.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved sister, Jana Lee Rowley Bordelon. Lynn's memory will be kept alive and forever honored by his surviving brother, L Bruce Rowley.

Lynn was laid to rest alongside his family at Redwood Memorial Estates in Salt Lake City, Utah
