Lucy Masten, born January 4, 1949, in Hondo, Texas to Sydney and Lanell (Robinson) Hertz, passed away on September 20, 2022. She spent her whole life in the great state of Texas. Her childhood was spent in San Antonio. After she married her family relocated to the Arlington area. She graduated with her MBA from DBU all while raising a family, working full time and attending night school. Lucy was an incredibly hard worker and when time came, she enjoyed retirement. Lucy had a caring heart and loved big! She was always willing to help anyone or animal that needed it. Her family was her pride. She is remembered for being her daughter Tina’s constant, always there for her even when she didn’t ask. Lucy loved being a grandmother and was very proud of her two granddaughters Kinsie and Kylie who got their "good looks” from her. When she wasn’t spending time with her family she could be found cuddled up watching a sci-fi or zombie show with her dogs. She was a lover of coffee and all sweets. She enjoyed every holiday, but Christmas was her favorite. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her.
Lucy is preceded in death by her parents; her son Eddie Masten and the love of her life Edward Masten.
She is survived by her daughter Tina and husband Cord Mitchell of Red Oak, Texas and two granddaughters Kinsie and Kylie Mitchell of Red Oak, Texas.
The family is planning a private memorial at a later date.
