Linda Lou Duncan age 84 of Red Oak, Texas passed away August 13, 2022. She was born in Mount Vernon, Missouri on August 8, 1938 to the late Alvin and Myrtle (Burns) Noltensmeyer. Growing up in Mount Vernon, Missouri she graduated high school and began work at Ben Franklin, a crafts and general store. She began her family and was a loving homemaker to her four children. The family moved to Louisiana in the mid 80’s where she went back to work. From Shreveport, Louisiana they moved to Texas, on to Wisconsin, where she began working for Motorola and Sam’s Club, later moving back to Texas in 2004 where she worked for Walmart in Waxahachie as a door greeter until her retirement in 2018. She is remembered as being cheerful, loving and giving; always greeting with a smile and saying goodbye to everyone she met no matter how she felt. She was the nicest person anyone could ever meet, never saying a bad thing about anybody. Linda could often be found working a crossword puzzle in her free time. She also loved to cook for her family, they will always remember and cherish her Sunday dinners of fried chicken, meatloaf, mashed potatoes and most of all her coconut cream pie and homemade peanut butter cookies. She loved and adored her grandchildren often babysitting them and her great-grandchildren. She will be missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her parents Alvin and Myrtle; brother Wallace Noltensmeyer and sister Betty Gayer.
