Obituary

Lillie Molly Adams, age 86, of Belton, Texas passed away February 13, 2022. Born in Italy, Texas to Earl Don and Ethel (Matheny) McIntosh; she spent her early years there. She met and married the love of her life, Brother Bobby Adams, at the age of 18. On the way to be wed, they had three tire blow outs. Bobby changed all three with the help of a friend - but they were determined to be married.  Although both sides of the family held little hope the marriage would last, they were married for 69 cherished years. Two years after their marriage they started their family and entered the ministry in 1959 at Calvary Baptist Church Temple in Lancaster, Texas. After serving many years at First Baptist Church of Ferris, they were then called to pioneer New Beginnings Bible Church in Ferris, Texas which began with a service in the chapel of Green Funeral Home. Lillie worked most her life in the front office of various businesses as the office manager which is the role she took on at First Baptist of Ferris and then New Beginnings Baptist Bible Church until she retired.  Through her years of service, she formed lifelong friendships that she treasured.

Lillie’s soul purpose and dedication in life was to her husband, children, and grandchildren. She never missed an opportunity to cheer on children, grandchildren, or great- grandchildren at their functions. She is remembered as such a generous person – one time taking the coat off her back to give to a homeless woman in downtown Dallas. Lillie loved puzzles, and her Texas Rangers, but she will be best remembered for the love she had for her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter Darlene Adams Manning, brother Lonnie McIntosh; sisters: Pearly Henson, Nellie Bucannon, and Mary Bucannon.

She is survived by her loving husband Brother Bobby Adams of Belton; son Donnie Joe Adams and his wife Kelly of Belton; son-in-law Kurt Manning of Irving; her beloved grandchildren: Jeremy Adams of Lago Vista, Jason Adams and his wife Cassie Adams of Rockdale, Tiffany Manning of Fort Worth, Nicholas and his wife Sabrina Gallagher of Belton; she also leaves behind great-grandchildren: Nathan Adams, Addie Adams and Madison Gallagher; her sisters-in-law: Martha Ann Gideon of Palmer, Mary Ellen and her husband George Cook of Bristol; along with other extended family members and friends.  Lillie believed in the power of spending quality time with loved ones. She will be missed by all.
