Kristopher Johnson Obituary

Kristopher Ryan Johnson, age 44 passed away on April 20, 2026. He was born on January 1, 1982 in Bartow, Florida. Kristopher’s life began with sparkle and presence. He was, as his family lovingly says, “fabulous since the day he was born.” Though the youngest child, he naturally took charge, with a bold spirit and vibrant personality that would define him throughout his life. His early years took him from Florida to Henrietta, Texas and eventually to DeSoto, Texas where he graduated with the Class of 2000. Kristopher was always singing, his voice and stage presence making him a standout in UIL choral performances and leading roles in theater arts. He had a performer’s soul and a storyteller’s heart. He sang Tenor II in Dallas‘ Turtle Creek Chorale for several seasons. Kristopher was known for his sharp wit, humor, and unmistakable commentary on life. He had a way of speaking truth with humor, making people laugh while also making them think. Wherever he went, he brought the energy and the laughter. Being around him meant you were in for a good time. He had a deep love for the arts and creativity in all its forms. Kristopher enjoyed singing, cooking, drawing, and architectural design, and he was an avid reader who could easily lose himself in a good book. He had a passion for film and could often be heard quoting classics like Gone with the Wind and Pollyanna. A Titanic enthusiast, he found fascination in its history and legacy. Music was a constant in his life. He cherished live concerts, including one of his most recent experiences seeing Sam Smith. His musical tastes were rich and timeless, spanning artists like James Taylor, Cyndi Lauper, Cher, and most especially Judy Garland, whose legacy he adored. Kristopher also had a love for entertainment and comedy, especially Saturday Night Live, along with its British counterpart, which he recently enjoyed. His sense of humor was ever-present, clever, and unforgettable. A lover of fashion, Kristopher had an eye for style and took great pride in his clothing and shoe collections, always perfectly coordinated. He was also a true foodie, finding joy in both cooking and experiencing good food. Above all, Kristopher was deeply loved. He was a devoted and cherished uncle, affectionately known as “Uncle Fluffy”, to his niece and nephew, bringing them joy, laughter, and unconditional love. He had a gift for storytelling, captivating those around him with his words, his humor, and his heart. Kristopher leaves behind a legacy of laughter, creativity, and love. He will be remembered for his vibrant spirit, his unforgettable presence, and the way he made every moment feel a little more alive.

He survived by his partner DiMarcus Williams; mother Christie Johnson; sister Ronett Bolds; niece Kayli Bolds; nephew Kayne Bolds; best friends: Jennie Conley, Justin Partain and Charles Teague.
