Kimberly Ford Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kimberly Ann Ford, who left this world on June 2, 2024, after a long courageous fight with pancreatic cancer. Kim was born on June 13, 1969, in Texarkana, Texas.  Lindy and Mike Henry, her mom and dad, expressed how Kim was the light and warmth of their home. Cameron, her only child, was the center of her Universe and they will be best friends forever. Cameron’s emptiness is the greatest imaginable. Cameron believes God’s words, through belief in Jesus Christ as his savior, he will be with his mom In Heaven again one day.

A student at Waxahachie High School, Class of 1987, Kim continued her education at the University of North Texas then earning a Master of Science degree from Texas A&M University-Commerce. Kim was a natural teacher and teaching a good fit since her world centered around Cameron, his learning, and activities.

Kimberly’s love for animals was legendary. At one point, she collected 100’s of different types of small animals. The house rule was that she could have as many animals as could fit into one room. This love for animals continued throughout her life, symbolizing her nurturing spirit. Her favorite pet was her chihuahua, Chocolate, and they have found each other in Heaven by now.

Traveling with family was one of Kim’s favorite things to do. She went for a two-month adventure with Lindy and Josh driving cross-country and venturing out on a Caribbean cruise to celebrate her 21st birthday. She loved to go on family trips; in winter to ski in the mountains of New Mexico or Colorado, and in summer to the family’s cabin on Lake Sylvan in the Northwoods of Wisconsin.

Kim had such a sweet personality and never had a negative word about another.  She seemed to see only the positive in everyone. She was such a beautiful lady inside and out. Her absence is going to leave an empty place in the hearts of her family and those lucky enough to have her call them a friend. Kim’s energy, love, and spirit will continue to inspire long after her body wore out, and long after she was escorted by Angels to Heaven.

She is survived by her beloved son, Cameron Ford of Waxahachie, Texas; parents Lindy and Mike Henry of Waxahachie, Texas; siblings: Joshua Ford of Waxahachie, Texas, Tryn and husband Dan Harper, Tyson Henry of Rockwall, Texas; sister-in-law, Alicia Caruso of Waxahachie; nieces and nephew: Alexis Caruso, Olivia & Lillian Schaefer, Elliott Ryan Caruso Hoggard, Landry Harper, Bruhn Henry, and great-nephew, Motley; cousins: Lisa, Sherri, Cindy, John, & Billy McClure, and Hollye Perry: and friends; Rochelle, April, Kim, Kimberly, Sharon, Margie, Jimmy, Pat; and extended family: Hunter, Nolan, Jett, Brayden, Aaron, Kace, John Mark, Sammy, Josh, Valerie, Harold, and Austin.  They all have good memories Kim left with them.

Kim directed her mom to ask for her that any donations to be made to her son, Cameron Ford, to assist him. Any donation can be sent to his CashApp number: $thecameronford2020
