Kevin Mitchell Taylor

Kevin Mitchell Taylor, age 30 of Ferris, Texas, passed away Saturday, November 14, 2020. He was born in March of 1990 in Lafayette, Indiana, later moving to Ferris, Texas in 1995. Kevin attended Ferris Schools, where he loved playing soccer before discovering his passion of skateboarding. Starting off as a fun new hobby, his family and friends remember him skateboarding around the schools and in town and making several trips to the skate park in Corsicana. Loyal and true to his word, Kevin cared very much about his friends and family. He had a large sense of pride in himself; working out a lot, he was a rock solid strongman at heart and was never scared to try something new. He enjoyed playing various video games, especially playing Halo with his brother Kyle, who treasures the memories of taking him to his first concert, seeing the band 40 Below Summer in Fort Worth and remembers Kevin always watching the movie Pandorum every night before bed. As well as skateboarding, Kevin loved fishing trips to Lake Texoma or locally at Bardwell Lake or just being in the backyard at home listening to the sounds of nature and the crackling and warmth of a bonfire or out creek-stomping with his beloved daughter Emmaleigh, stirring up the frogs and bugs. These memories will live on forever in our hearts and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by grandparents Charles and Marian Holladay, grandfather William T. Dill, uncle David Dill, and brother Paul J. Dill.

He is survived by his cherished daughter Emmaleigh Lynn Taylor; loving parents Paul Raymond and Elaine Anne (Holladay) Dill of Ferris; sister Kristin and husband Ricardo Olivo of Arlington, brother Kyle and wife Destinee Holladay of Ferris and sister-in-law Becky (Witherspoon) Dill of Ferris; grandmother Manuela Dill of Ferris, cousins: Cody and wife Aubri Dill of Burleson, Tyler Dill and Trevor Dill ; aunt Lynette Holladay of Darlington, Indiana; long time family friend Jeff Denhardt, seven nieces and nephews as well as numerous other extended family members and friends.

The family plans to hold a memorial at a later date.
